PALO ALTO, CA (September 9, 2019) – A person sustained major injuries in a car crash on Highway 101 on September 7.
 
Authorities received reports of the crash after 8:00 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 near University Avenue. According to reports, a Land Rover rear-ended a Ford Focus which traveled slowly in the far right lane.
 
The Focus’ male driver in his 20s went to a hospital with major injuries. Meanwhile, the Land Rover driver didn’t suffer any injury and remained at the scene.
 
The crash shut down the three right lanes of the northbound freeway. The CHP issued an alert due to heavy traffic.
 
By 9:00 a.m., the lanes have since reopened.
