Fontana, CA (September 24, 2020) – On Wednesday, a driver was injured in big rigs vs trailer crash on Etiwanda Avenue and Slover Avenue.
 
The incident happened at about 10 a.m. in an intersection in southwestern Fontana.
 
A big rig and trailer traveling west on Slover Avenue turned north on Etiwanda Avenue on a red light. At the same time, a big rig with no trailer was heading north on Etiwanda Avenue, driving through the intersection on a green light.
 
The vehicles crashed. The northbound truck crossed over the center island and struck another big rig with a trailer, knocking it over.
 
Furthermore, more than 100 gallons of diesel fuel spilled on the roadway. As a result, the authorities closed the road in all directions for more than three hours.
 
The Ontario Police Department and Fire Department assisted with the cleanup, along with the City of Fontana EPA personnel.
