Big Rig Collision on Highway 12 Injures Driver in Isleton
ISLETON, CA (August 14, 2019) — A driver suffered major injuries following a big rig collision on Highway 12 Monday morning.
The California Highway Patrol said a big rig rear-ended another big rig at around 7:30 a.m., resulting in a fiery crash. The fire was put out by fire extinguishers.
One of the big rig drivers was airlifted from the scene with major injuries. It was not clear whether the other driver sustained any injury.
Officials closed both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 12 at Jackson Slough Road. All lanes reopened shortly before noon, as per Caltrans.
