Driver Hit, Injured by Car on 5th Avenue Near Sultana Street [Hesperia, CA]

Car Strikes Pedestrian in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (April 23, 2019) – A driver struck and injured a pedestrian Sunday in the 9100 block of 5th Avenue near Sultana Street.
 
According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller, the victim was a driver of a car. It appears the man exited his vehicle and began walking along 5th Avenue when an oncoming vehicle struck him.
 
Paramedics arrived shortly after and airlifted the victim via County Helicopter H325 to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the second car remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
Pedestrians and drivers should be aware of one another since the roads can be unsafe at night and during heavy traffic. Never assume someone sees you. Navigate the streets with care and responsibility. This will go a long way.
