Traffic Stalled after Renton Accident on Highway 167

RENTON, WA (August 1, 2020) – Last Thursday, a driver fled after the semi crash on northbound Highway 167 in Renton.

The units from Renton Regional Fire Authority, Tukwila Fire, and Washington State Patrol responded on July 30. They came after receiving reports of a car that had crashed with the trailer of a semi. After the crash, the car was stuck partially under the trailer.

Responders transported the car’s driver to the hospital.

Meanwhile, crews stayed at the scene to haul the car. Moreover, their clearing operation led to the closure of two right lanes northbound, south of Interstate 405.

Always pay attention to other drivers, especially on busy freeways. Whenever you are behind the wheel of a vehicle, it is your responsibility to follow all traffic laws. Make sure to avoid distractions that can lead to serious auto accidents. As a driver, maintain a safe speed and only drive when you are alert and sober.
