Suspect Flees after Crashing Vehicle into Building on Tacoma Way

 
TACOMA, WA (February 28, 2020) – A driver fled after his SUV crashed into a building on Tacoma Way on February 23.
 
Witnesses heard a large collision in the 2600 block of S. Tacoma Way, just before 6:00 p.m. An SUV reportedly slammed into the corner of the building. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
 
According to reports, a witness then saw the driver flee on foot through the passenger side window. The witness also noticed that the driver was in possession of a gun on his hip.
 
Police later confirmed that no one occupied the building at the time of the collision.
 
The events leading up to the collision are currently unknown as of this time. However, authorities are still searching for the driver.
