Driver Dies, Passenger Injured in Vehicle Collision on Highway 99 [Fresno, CA]

19-Year-Old Woman Killed, 20-Year-Old Passenger Hospitalized in Crash on Highway 99

 
Fresno, CA (January 08, 2021) – On Thursday, a 19-year-old female driver from Woodville died, while her 20-year-old passenger, also from Woodville was injured in a vehicle crash on Highway 99.
 
The fatal incident took place just after 9:30 pm near the Avenue 152 turnoff in Tipton.
 
California Highway Patrol officers said the female driver was traveling north when she veered to the right, causing her truck to spin out.
 
Her vehicle crashed into a tree and struck a brick wall along the shoulder.
 
Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, rescuers rushed her passenger to a hospital with major injuries.
 
The CHP said alcohol or drugs were not factors in this tragic accident.
