PLACER COUNTY, CA (July 19, 2022) – Friday night, a driver died in a DUI crash on Walerga Road near Town Center Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on southbound Walerga Road, north of Town Center Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound white Corvette crossed the center divider towards the northbound lanes where it collided head-on with a Chevrolet Malibu. Then, the force of the crash ejected the 68-year-old male driver of the Corvette into the roadway.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the Corvette driver, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the Chevrolet driver to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
Furthermore, officials believed that the Corvette driver was under the influence at the time of the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
