DUI Driver Runs Over Girlfriend in Tulare Accident on Bardsley Avenue and Irwin Street

 
TULARE, CA (January 6, 2021) – Wednesday night, authorities arrested Douglas Jeremiah Miller following a pedestrian crash on Bardsley Avenue.
 
The authorities received a report of a possible vehicle versus pedestrian crash at about 4:50 p.m. Moreover, it happened on Bardsley Avenue and Irwin Street.
 
When the officers arrived, they located a woman who had been struck by a vehicle.
 
After investigating, the authorities determined that 36-year-old Douglas Jeremiah Miller had been involved in a fight with his girlfriend.
 
When Miller tried to drive away, his girlfriend attempted to get in the truck from the passenger side while the vehicle was moving. As a result, Miller ran her over.
 
As the police arrest Miller, they determined that Miller had been under the influence. Then, he resisted which led officers to taser him.
 
Meanwhile, responders transported Miller’s girlfriend to a hospital. They also took Miller to a hospital and once released, the authorities will arrest him. Douglas Jeremiah Miller will face charges of felony DUI and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
