Chandler, AZ (November 6, 2020) – On Tuesday, 59-year-old Donna Sable and 74-year-old James Griffith, both from Mesa, died in a tragic vehicle crash on Loop 101.
 
The fatal accident took place at about 3:30 PM.
 
A large trailer connected to a white heavy-duty truck stopped because of traffic near Chandler Boulevard. Just then, a pickup truck slammed into the back of it.
 
Authorities pronounced Sable and Griffith dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, authorities closed Loop 101 northbound but reopened just after 8 PM.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
