Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Highway 89 in Yarnell

Yarnell, AZ (September 1, 2022) – On Friday, 74-year-old Donna Gordon died in a crash on Highway 89.

The fatal auto-pedestrian crash in Yarnell happened on August 26. 

Police said Gordon was struck by a vehicle driven by a Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office sergeant as she crossed Highway 89 near Post Road.

Reportedly, the sergeant was in his patrol car and headed home from work. 

Gordon sustained fatal injuries.

It is unknown if speed or other factors played a role in the crash.
