Donald Olkie and One Other Dead in Harbor Gateway Accident on 110 Freeway

 
HARBOR GATEWAY, CA (September 14, 2020) – On Saturday morning, two drivers, including 53-year-old Donald Olkie, died in a fiery crash on the 110 Freeway, the police reported.
 
The incident happened at about 4:15 a.m. on the northbound lanes to the 110 Freeway expressway.
 
Due to the crash, a raging fire occurred, with both cars engulfed in flames.
 
Initially, the investigator reported that the 110 Freeway crash was a result of a wrong-way driver. However, they later corrected that the cause of the crash remains unknown.
 
“For an unknown reason, both vehicles collided into each other, causing major damage to both vehicles and fatal injuries to both parties,” California Highway Patrol Sgt. J. Sanchez revealed.
 
As a result of the incident, the authorities declared both drivers dead at the scene. Donald Olkie of Torrance, was one of the fatalities.
 
Furthermore, the Gardena crash investigation is ongoing.
