Toyota Driver Dies in Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Penryn Road

Auburn, CA (January 28, 2023) – On Friday evening, the authorities arrested Donald Harmon in an Interstate 80 fatal collision killing a Toyota driver.

The traffic collision happened past 4 p.m. near Penryn Road involving three vehicles.

Responding officers located the 57-year-old Toyota Highlander driver unresponsive in his drivers seat. They provided medical aid but later declared him dead on the scene.

Moreover, Donald Harmon was driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck at an unsafe rate of speed and was apparently using his phone when he rear-ended the Toyota Highlander. 

The impact of the collision caused the Toyota Highlander to rear-end a Toyota Sienna with a man, woman, and two 1-year-old children.

The Toyota Sienna’s occupants, Roseville residents Oleksandr Borysov , 44, and Hanna Borysova, 30, incurred minor injuries while Harmon incurred moderate injuries.

Later on, the authorities arrested Donald Harmon for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital.

Investigating officers said alcohol and/or drugs appear to be a factor in the multi-vehicle crash near Penryn Road.
