TIDWELL, TX (March 24, 2025) – Sunday night, a disastrous traffic crash on East Sam Houston Tollway and Beltway 8 injured two people.

The incident happened at around 6:00 p.m. on East Sam Houston Tollway and Beltway 8.

According to reports, a vehicle struck a patrol vehicle and a deputy who was handling a traffic stop.

Moreover, responders airlifted the driver of the vehicle that struck the deputy, to a hospital with serious injuries. Then, paramedics transported the deputy to a hospital with minor injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed all main lanes and both shoulders of East Sam Houston Tollway but has long since reopened.
