MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (April 20, 2025) – Saturday morning, a disastrous single-vehicle crash on Covelo Road near Highway 101 injured one person.

The incident happened at around 7:00 a.m. on Covelo Road, east of U.S. Highway 101.

According to reports, a white box truck lost control for still unknown reasons, went off the roadway, and crashed down an embankment.

Moreover, responders transported a male occupant of the vehicle to a hospital with major injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
