Injuries Reported in Mesa Auto Accident on Bush Highway near Usery Pass Road
MESA, AZ (September 8, 2024) – Friday morning, a disastrous single-vehicle crash on Bush Highway near Usery Pass Road injured 2 people.
Reports said that the incident happened at about 1:00 a.m. on Bush Highway between Usery Pass Road and State Route 87, near the Salt River recreation sites.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered that both individuals in the vehicle had suffered serious injuries from the crash. According to the MCSO, both occupants were transported to the hospital with life-threatening conditions.
The accident led to the closure of Bush Highway in both directions between Usery Pass Road and SR-87. Traffic resumed on the roadway by 8 a.m.
During their investigation, MCSO officers identified evidence that suggested possible alcohol impairment. The investigation into the cause of the crash is still underway.
