Injuries Reported in Stanislaus County Traffic Accident on Crows Landing Road near El Katrina Lane

STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (October 16, 2024) – Tuesday morning, seventeen students sustained injuries in a disastrous school bus crash on Crows Landing Road.

The incident happened at around 7:00 a.m. on Crows Landing Road, north of El Katrina Lane.

The California Highway Patrol said that a big rig rear-ended a Honda sedan that was stopped behind a school bus. Then, the big rig continued traveling and rear-ended the school bus.

Authorities confirmed that 17 elementary-aged students onboard the school bus sustained minor injuries and that none required hospitalization. Responders transported the drivers of the Honda and the big rig to a hospital, both with minor injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
