BUTLER COUNTY, MO (April 27, 2025) – Thursday afternoon, a disastrous rollover crash on US 60 near Poplar Bluff.
The incident occurred at about 4:15 p.m. on US 60, 4 miles west of Poplar Bluff.
A 16-year-old boy from Van Buren was driving eastbound when his SUV veered off the road and flipped, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Both the driver and his 16-year-old passenger, also from Van Buren, sustained serious injuries in the crash.
The two were transported to a hospital in Poplar Bluff for treatment. MSHP reported that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt, while the passenger was. The SUV was totaled in the incident.
