Injuries Reported in Vina Auto Accident on Highway 99 near Vina Road
VINA, CA (January 1, 2025) – Tuesday morning, a man sustained injuries in a disastrous police chase crash on Highway 99 near Vina Road.
The crash happened at about 4:20 a.m. on Highway 99 near Vina Road, near Lassen Steakhouse.
The California Highway Patrol reports that a pursuit that began in Butte County and continued into Tehama County ended after deputies lost sight of the motorcyclist.
The rider’s 2006 Suzuki motorcycle was later found following a crash on northbound Highway 99. The rider sustained major injuries and was transported to Enloe Hospital. Further details about his condition have not been disclosed.
CHP officials have not confirmed whether the motorcyclist will face charges, directing questions about potential arrests to the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
