Ramona High Students Hurt in Riverside Pedestrian Accident on 7675 Magnolia Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (February 3, 2024) – Friday morning, 2 students suffered injuries in a disastrous pedestrian crash on 7675 Magnolia Avenue.
The incident happened at about 8:13 a.m. as the girls walked in the crosswalk in front of the school at 7675 Magnolia Avenue.
Meanwhile, an eastbound car hit them, throwing one of them about 40 feet. Then, she landed under a different car that was on Cortez Street at Magnolia.
Moreover, the second student came to rest past the far side of the intersection with Cortez Street, about 60 feet from where the crash occurred.
Police Officer Ryan Railsback said that both girls were expected to survive.
Meanwhile, the driver was also transported to the hospital for observation. Also, officers do not suspect that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
Furthermore, Magnolia was shut down in both directions for the investigation. Then, all lanes have reopened before 10:00 a.m.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
