LOLETA, CA (August 9, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a disastrous multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near Fernbridge injured one person.

The incident happened on southbound Highway 101 near Fernbridge.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a truck hauling more than one trailer crashed for still unknown reasons. Then, the initial crash resulted in multiple vehicles colliding.

Moreover, responders transported a two-year-old to a hospital with head injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed southbound Highway 101, but has long since reopened.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
