1 Person Arrested in Hermosa Beach Auto Accident on Pacific Coast Highway and 5th Street

HERMOSA BEACH, CA (October 15, 2024) – Friday night, a disastrous hit-and-run crash on Pacific Coast Highway and 5th Street injured one person.

The incident happened around 6:55 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway and 5th Street.

According to the Hermosa Beach Police Department, a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction collided head-on with another vehicle. Then, the driver of the wrong-way vehicle fled the scene on foot after the crash.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the motorist struck by the suspect sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, officers managed to locate the suspect was spotted walking down PCH while covered in blood. Responders transported the suspect to a local hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, authorities said that the male suspect is likely to face multiple felony charges.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Fresno Police Department continued investigating the crash.
