1 Person Injured in Disastrous Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 215 and Columbia Avenue [Riverside, CA]

Injuries Reported in Riverside Auto Accident on Interstate 215 and Columbia Avenue

RIVERSIDE, CA (January 1, 2025) – Tuesday morning, a person suffered injuries in a disastrous hit-and-run crash on Interstate 215 and Columbia Avenue.

The incident happened at 11:30 a.m. on the southbound Interstate 215 off-ramp for Columbia Avenue.

The driver of a sedan collided with another vehicle while exiting the freeway, causing the sedan to crash through a guardrail and knock down multiple signs, according to the agency.

The other vehicle involved fled the scene, and no description of it was immediately available.

Riverside Fire Department personnel arrived within minutes and found the sedan’s driver with minor to moderate injuries. The individual was transported to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.

Caltrans was notified about the damage to the off-ramp, which remained open.
