Injuries Reported in Stockton Pedestrian Accident on 99 Frontage Road near Inspiration Drive

STOCKTON, CA (May 20, 2024) – Friday night, 2 teens suffered injuries in a disastrous hit-and-run crash on 99 Frontage Road near Inspiration Drive.

Reports revealed that three teens were walking home from a grocery store at around 10:00 p.m. along 99 Frontage Road near Inspiration Drive. Then, a dark-colored sedan struck two of the teens — a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl — before speeding away from the area.

“I’m just not OK with this,” said Mary Brownlee-Smith, grandmother of 13-year-old Alvin, who was one of the victims.

“I got a call saying that he had been hit by a car, and they’re taking him to the county (hospital) and I was there in seven minutes from Hammer Lane.” 

Instead of preparing for his last days of school before summer break, Alvin underwent scans, surgery, and blood transfusions. “My grandson is laying over there in UC Davis,” Brownlee-Smith added. “I do not like to see my babies laying up in pain.”

The Stockton Police Department is working to gather answers, including checking if any security cameras captured the incident, although the area is desolate with the nearest street camera almost a mile away.
