1 Person Hurt in Carthage Scooter Accident on 100 East Ash Street

CARTHAGE, TX (March 18, 2025) – Sunday night, a disastrous hit-and-run crash on 100 East Ash Street injured one person.

The incident happened at around 6:40 p.m. in the 100 block of East Ash Street.

According to the Carthage Police Department, a maroon sedan struck a 5-year-old who was driving a motorized scooter. Then, the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where the 5-year-old was airlifted to Shreveport with unknown injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
