SAPD Arrests Ford Driver in 3-Vehicle Collision on US Highway 281 N

San Antonio, TX (April 10, 2023) On Saturday evening, a DWI crash on Highway 281 led to a driver being taken to the hospital.

Authorities say that the 3-vehicle collision happened at about 8 p.m. in the 2100 block of US Highway 281 N.

SAPD says that a southbound red Ford F-150 attempted to pass a silver Lexus NX300, however, the Ford crashed into the Lexus after the shoulder narrowed.

Afterward, the Ford collided with the driver’s side of a Volkswagen, the impact of the crash pushed the Volkswagen off the roadway into a metal guardrail.

Officials say that the Ford followed the Volkswagen into the guardrail, then, separating after coming to a stop.

Police says that the Volkswagen driver suffered serious injuries, a family member took the driver to a hospital.

Meanwhile, the Ford driver was arrested and booked for Intoxication Assault.
