Elk Grove, CA (May 5, 2023) On Thursday, a disastrous car crash on Franklin Boulevard resulted in a fatality and several injuries.

Authorities say that the fatal 2-car collision happened at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Calvine Road.

Reports say that officers attempted to stop a driver in a stolen vehicle, however, the driver fled from the police.

Officers did not pursue the vehicle due to traffic and the driver’s erratic behavior. Unfortunately, the suspect driver crashed into another vehicle at the intersection a few moments later.

Officials say that the stolen vehicle had 4 occupants, a man, and 2 minors were in the car and were seriously hurt. Meanwhile, a female occupant from he stolen vehicle was pronounced dead at the hospital.
