Injuries Reported in Lakeside Vehicle Crash on Winter Gardens Boulevard and Sterling Hill Lane

LAKESIDE, CA (February 13, 2024) – Monday morning, 3 people suffered injuries in a disastrous auto accident on Winter Gardens Boulevard and Sterling Hill Lane.

The incident occurred at around 3:05 a.m. when a 39-year-old man from El Cajon drove a 2011 Buick Enclave southbound on Winter Gardens Boulevard, south of Sterling Hill Lane, said Officer Jared Grieshaber of the California Highway Patrol.

Reports revealed that the driver had two passengers, a 37-year-old man and a 41-year-old man, both from El Cajon, Grieshaber added.

“While driving southbound, the driver was unable to maintain control of the Buick and made an unsafe turning movement, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway,” Grieshaber said.

As a result, the Buick rolled over and crashed into a house in the 9000 block of Winter Gardens Boulevard.

As a result, the driver and passengers of the Buick suffered major injuries and were transported by ambulance to Sharp Memorial Hospital.

Also, officers suspect that alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
