1 Person Hospitalized in San Antonio Auto Accident on Interstate 35 near Crosswinds Way

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 10, 2025) – Wednesday morning, a disastrous 18-wheeler truck crash on Interstate 35 near Crosswinds Way injured one person.

The incident happened at around 3:00 a.m. along Interstate 35 between O’Connor Road and Crosswinds Way.

According to the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office, an Amazon 18-wheeler struck the vehicle of an off-duty Bexar County constable who was working a lane closure due to road construction.

Moreover, responders rushed the male constable to a hospital with critical injuries.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the constable’s vehicle was parked with its emergency lights on when the incident occurred.

Meanwhile, the crash closed southbound Interstate 35 for several hours but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office continued investigating the crash.
