24-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by 2 Cars While Exiting His Vehicle on 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar
DIAMOND BAR, CA (November 23, 2018) – A 24-year-old man was killed after being struck by two cars Friday evening in Diamond Bar, CHP officials said.
The incident happened around 9:20 p.m. along the eastbound lanes of 60 Freeway, just East of Brea Canyon Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man’s vehicle became disabled on the freeway for unknown reasons. He went out of his car and was seen running in lanes.
The man reportedly ran from the right shoulder directly into the path of a 1989 Chevrolet Silverado. A 2008 Mazda 6 also struck him following the initial impact.
All of the involved parties remained on scene and awaited CHP and medical personnel arrival.
Life-saving aid were performed but the man did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
No arrest were made at the scene. Investigation of this fatal crash is still ongoing.
