Livermore, NV (April 27, 2021) – On Sunday, Devin McCune, 29, of Livermore died, and police arrested Phillip Krulisky, 29, in a DUI crash on Banner Lava Cap Road.
Officers pronounced McCune dead on the scene at about 9 p.m. in the 11000 block area, west of Forest View Drive.
A 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Krulisky flipped into an irrigation ditch after he lost control of it. Apparently, the right front portion of the vehicle slammed straight into a tree before overturning into the ditch.
As a result, the vehicle’s passenger side sustained the most damage.
Responders had to extricate McCune from the passenger seat of the vehicle.
On the other hand, Krulisky did not sustain any serious injuries from the accident. Even so, he complained of bodily pain stemming from some unspecified injuries. Responders treated him on the scene.
Moreover, officers immediately evaluated Krulisky, and deemed he drove under the influence of alcohol.
Authorities arrested him after it was determined that he was intoxicated. They booked him into the Nevada County Jail on felony charges of manslaughter and driving under the influence
Krulisky remained in custody Monday on a bond of $100,000,00.

Following a Fatal Nevada Accident
While assigning blame is usually one of the last things you would consider doing in a time of a devastating loss, it is important to make sure your family is covered in the face of tragedy.
A wrongful death suit allows families to hold parties liable for the irrevocable damages they have brought on. It is a civil action made in the name of a deceased victim. Ultimately, it alleviates most or all of the financial burden the death of a relative has generated.
Indeed, nearly 1.25 million people are killed in car accidents each year. That means, on average, auto accidents cause 3,287 deaths per day. As a matter of fact, road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death in the U.S. for people aged 1-54.
That is why we encourage you to speak with our attorneys. A lawyer serves as your legal representation, working to prove what you are owed in the wake of a family member’s death.
