2 People Dead in Edinburg Auto Accident on 6400 Rio Grande Care Road

EDINBURG, TX (November 28, 2023) – Sunday night, a devastating UTV crash on 6400 Rio Grande Care Road killed two people.

The incident happened at around 6:50 p.m. at the 6400 block of Rio Grande Care Road.

According to the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department, a UTV lost control for still unknown reasons and crashed into a canal.

Moreover, responders rushed to the scene and pulled two female teens, ages 17 and 18, who were both trapped inside the UTV that was partially underwater. Then, paramedics transported the two to a hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
