2 People Dead in Bakersfield Auto Accident on Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 17, 2025) – Sunday morning, a devastating two-vehicle crash on Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road killed two people.

The incident happened at around 1:37 a.m. on Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, an eastbound white Hyundai collided with a southbound vehicle for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders pronounced one person, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported a female patient to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Also, paramedics transported a driver and a passenger of one of the vehicles, both with moderate injuries, and the other driver with minor injuries, to a hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, officers believe that speed and impairment played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
