1 Person Dead in East Village Auto Accident on C Street and 17th Street

EAST VILLAGE, CA (April 27, 2025) – Saturday morning, a devastating two-vehicle crash on C Street and 17th Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 3:20 a.m. on C Street and 17th Street.

According to the San Diego Police Department, an eastbound vehicle entered the intersection and collided with a southbound vehicle.

Moreover, responders rushed the 42-year-old male occupant of the southbound vehicle to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers arrested the 21-year-old male driver of the eastbound vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
