1 Dead in Vallejo Pedestrian Accident on Curtola Parkway and Lemon Street

VALLEJO, CA (May 21, 2024) – Sunday night, a man died in a devastating pedestrian crash on Curtola Parkway and Lemon Street.

The incident occurred at around 7:50 p.m. on Curtola Parkway, west of Lemon Street.

According to reports, the driver’s vehicle was traveling eastbound on Curtola Parkway when it struck the raised center median curb and crossed over into the eastbound lanes. Subsequently, the driver lost control and collided with another car.

Meanwhile, the driver of the wrong-way vehicle was killed in the crash. Additionally, a passenger in that vehicle was hospitalized and is currently in critical condition, while the driver of the other car sustained life-threatening injuries and was also hospitalized.

Police have stated that drugs and alcohol do not appear to have been factors in the crash. The VPD is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

This fatal crash marks only the second such occurrence in the City of Vallejo in 2024. The identity of the deceased driver is being withheld until his family has been notified.
