GRANITE BAY, CA (May 10, 2023) – Monday afternoon, a devastating motorcycle crash on Douglas Boulevard near Berg Street killed 1 person.

The incident occurred on Douglas Boulevard near Berg Street in the Granite Bay area of Placer County.

Reports revealed that a female SUV driver headed east on Douglas Boulevard toward Berg Street. Then, she attempted to make a U-turn. As she turned, a motorcycle going faster than 85 mph crashed into the SUV.

The impact ejected the motorcyclist and sustained fatal injuries. Moreover, despite life-saving efforts initiated by medical personnel, the man was declared dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, responders took the woman to the hospital with minor injuries.
