1 Person Dead in Bakersfield Bicycle Accident on South Union Avenue and Garden Drive
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 20, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a devastating bicycle crash on South Union Avenue and Garden Drive killed one person.
The incident happened at around 6:12 a.m. on South Union Avenue and Garden Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound 2010 Toyota Corolla struck a bicyclist who was crossing northbound South Union Avenue.
As a result, paramedics pronounced the bicyclist, dead at the scene.
Moreover, the Toyota driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear, when additional information became available, the public would be notified.
Due to limited information, the California Highway Patrol continued to investigate the crash.
