NEWBURY PARK, CA (May 7, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, a devastating 2-vehicle crash near Via Las Brisas and Calle Del Prado killed 2.

Reports said that the incident happened just after 4:00 p.m. near Via Las Brisas and Calle Del Prado, near Harvest Moon/Heritage Community Park.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Mike McConville confirmed that two people died in the crash. Deputies responded to the scene to assist with the investigation and manage traffic.

McConville noted that no pedestrians were involved, though it remains unclear if any other passengers were inside the vehicles at the time.

Due to the incident, intersections at Via Las Brisas and Via Rio, as well as Via Las Brisas and Calle Del Prado, were closed.
