2 People Hurt in Bethany Auto Accident on Route Y near 295 Road

BETHANY, MO (March 26, 2025) – On Sunday, authorities arrested Detroyt Linthacum after an alarming single-vehicle crash on Route Y.

The incident happened on Route Y, ten miles northeast of Bethany at 295 Road.

According to reports, a vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, crashed down a steep embankment, and collided with trees.

Moreover, responders transported two male occupants of the vehicle, a 12 and 13-year-old, to Children’s Mercy Kansas City with major injuries.

Furthermore, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, identified as 19-year-old Linthacum, for felony-level intoxicated driving causing serious injury.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department continued investigating the crash.
