Police Investigate Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Highway 141 in Jefferson County

Jefferson County, Mo (June 12, 2025) – A 50-year-old Desoto man died in a crash early Friday morning.

Troopers reported that the crash occurred at approximately 12:25 a.m. on southbound Highway 141, just north of Romain Creek Road. 

A 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling in the second lane of southbound Missouri 141 near Fiedler Lane when it hit the man, who was walking in the roadway.

Emergency responders arrived quickly and pronounced the man dead at the scene. 

Authorities have not yet released his name, but confirmed he was a 50-year-old resident of Desoto, Missouri.

The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and cooperated with the ongoing investigation. 

As of now, the southbound lanes of Highway 141 remain closed while officials continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
