Deputy Injured in DUI Accident on Paseo Verde Drive and Buena Vista [Merced, CA]

1 Hurt in Merced Crash on Paseo Verde Drive

 
MERCED, CA (October 29, 2020) – Tuesday night, a deputy suffered injuries in a DUI accident on Paseo Verde Drive in Merced.
 
The authorities revealed that the incident happened just before 7:00 p.m. It happened on Paseo Verde Drive and Buena Vista, said the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.
 
According to officers, a southbound truck traveled on Paseo Verde Drive. However, it didn’t yield the right of way to the patrol vehicle. Reports revealed that the deputy was driving on the eastbound lane of Buena Vista. Moreover, the crash left both vehicles with major damages.
 
Meanwhile, the deputies confirmed that the driver of the other vehicle was under the influence of alcohol. Thus, the deputies arrested him.
 
On the other hand, responders transported the deputy to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries.
