SR 94 Fatal Crash Under Investigation
San Diego, CA (May 14, 2024) – 53-year-old Delmey O’Gara of Spring Valley was killed in a State Route 94 hit-and-run crash Friday night.
Marissa O’Gara, the victim’s granddaughter said Delmey left a birthday party Friday night and never returned home.
The following morning, Marissa’s brother was led to the eastbound lanes of the freeway past Federal Boulevard. They saw Delmey’s tennis shoe when they looked over the guardrail.
Marissa called hospitals looking for her grandmother. When there was no word, they went back to the scene and located the victim in a ditch.
CHP officers said Delmey’s damaged Kia Forte was found near the crash scene.
Moreover, witness reports of a hit-and-run involving Delmey’s vehicle led the authorities to an abandoned SUV near the intersection with College Avenue.
CHP officers are investigating this collision and have not arrested anyone.
