25-Year-Old Man Killed in Gunsmoke Road Multi-Vehicle Crash
Maricopa, AZ (June 6, 2023) On Sunday evening, 45-year-old Deedrik Manning was arrested in a fatal DUI crash on Honeycutt Road.
Maricopa PD says that a 25-year-old ma died in the multi-vehicle crash near Gunsmoke Road at around 8:30 p.m.
Reports say that the collision involved 3 vehicles, a blue Dodge Charger, a silver Nissan Altima, and a 3rd vehicle. Officials say that the Dodge and Nissan were traveling at high speed before one of the vehicle’s drivers lost control and collided with the other, consequently, hitting a 3rd vehicle.
First responders found the Dodge’s driver, identified as a 25-year-old male, ejected from the vehicle, rescuers pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, rescuers helped Deedrik Manning out of his Nissan, Manning sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital. The 3rd driver did not suffer injuries.
Authorities later arrested Manning on manslaughter charges, officials say that Manning showed signs of impairment at the time of the crash.
Police are investigating the Gunsmoke Road multi-vehicle crash.
