61-Year-Old Woman Identified as Driver Killed in Solo-Car Crash near Highway 101
PASO ROBLES, CA (January 24, 2019) – A woman was killed early Thursday evening following a rollover crash near Highway 101. The victim was later identified as 61-year-old Debra Lynne Jones, a resident of Paso Robles.
According to the California Highway, the incident happened in the 9000 block of Cemetery Road, at about 5:35 PM. The driver was on her private driveway when her silver Mercedes went off the road and rolled down a 300-foot embankment.
Jones was ejected from her vehicle, causing severe injuries. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal accident and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to cooperate with investigators as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
