CHP Investigates Fatal Big Rig Accident near Saddleback Lane

Susanville, CA (March 16, 2023) – On Tuesday evening, a semi-truck collision on Highway 395 killed a driver and injured a Bellingham driver.

CHP says that the fatal big rig accident happened near Saddleback Lane. Reports say that a big rig overturned and crossed the path of another big rig.

According to the investigating officers, the collision killed one driver and injured a 44-year-old Bellingham, Washington man. Officials identified the Bellingham driver as A. Perez Saucedo, paramedics transported them to Banner Lassen Medical Center for treatment for minor injuries sustained in the crash. 

Officials say that the big rig’s wreckage blocked the highway.
