CHP INVESTIGATES FATAL PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT ON EASTBOUND I-8

El Cajon, CA (March 14, 2023) On Sunday evening, a deadly pedestrian crash on eastbound Interstate 8 killed a man walking on the freeway.

According to the CHP, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 8:20 p.m. at West Main Street.

Authorities responding to the scene found the victim lying on the traffic lanes. Officials say that a vehicle fatally struck the man as he was walking in the center divider of a freeway.

CHP is investigating the deadly pedestrian crash and have not released further information at this time.
