Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Closes Major Roadway
Puyallup, WA (May 15, 2025) On Wednesday evening, a person was killed and another was hurt in a 2-car crash on Valley Avenue.
According to authorities, the fatal collision happened near the 7900 block of Valley Avenue Northwest, close to the Fife border.
Reports say that the two-vehicle collision claimed one life and left another person injured Wednesday evening in Puyallup.
The crash involved a passenger car and a larger truck, prompting a large emergency response from Fife Police, Puyallup Police, Bonney Lake Police, Lakewood Police, and the Tacoma Fire Department.
Authorities confirmed that one person died at the scene, while another occupant sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Pierce County’s Metro Cities Major Collision Response Team is leading the investigation.
Police have closed Valley Avenue at 70th Avenue East and Freeman Road East, advising motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes. There is currently no estimated time for reopening.
