Davvonae Brown Seriously Injured in Wrong-Way Collision near Howe Avenue in Sacramento

 
Sacramento, CA (May 4, 2020) – Early Sunday morning, Davvonae Brown of Stockton and another victim sustained severe injuries in an auto-truck collision on Highway 50.
 
Authorities responded upon receiving crash reports around 2:30 a.m., on May 4. Dispatched officers arrived in the westbound lanes, near Howe Avenue.
 
A white Nissan Altima was traveling east in the westbound lanes of Highway 50 when it collided with a truck carrying scrap metal and concrete. The truck then flipped over the center divider onto the eastbound side of the freeway. All of its loads and diesel spilled across the roadway.

Aftermath and Updates

Due to the impact, the truck driver sustained minor injuries while Brown sustained severe injuries. Paramedics transported both of them to a nearby hospital for immediate aide.
 
Police say that Brown was suspected of driving the wrong way, and under the influence.
 
Furthermore, officers closed the surrounding area during cleanup and preliminary duties. It has since re-opened after 8:41 a.m.
