[UPDATE] David Stame Dead in Huntington Beach Pedestrian Accident on Warner Avenue

 
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (June 28, 2020) – Late Friday night, a 54-year-old pedestrian identified as David Stame died in an accident on Warner Avenue.
 
The officers responded immediately to the Warner Avenue and Bolsa Chica Street scene at 11:05 p.m.
 
When they arrived, they located the pedestrian lying down with extensive injuries, said Sgt. Matthew Austin of the Huntington Beach Police Department.
 
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 66-year-old driver of a gray 2018 Hyundai Elantra traveled west on Warner Avenue. However, his car hit the pedestrian, who was walking across north Bolsa Chica Street.
 
At this time, it’s still unclear whether the pedestrian, now identified as David Stame, used a marked crosswalk during the crash.
 
Responders transported the victim to a hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after .
