David Sloan and Police Officer Injured in Crash on Hawkeye Avenue and Geer Road [Turlock, CA]

2 Hospitalized after Turlock Car Accident on Hawkeye Avenue

 
TURLOCK, CA (October 6, 2020) – Sunday night, David Sloan and a Turlock police officer suffered injuries in a crash on Hawkeye Avenue.
 
The incident happened at 8:49 p.m. on Hawkeye Avenue and Geer Road, said CHP spokesman Officer Thomas Olsen.
 
According to reports, the officer in a 2018 Ford SUV drove east on Hawkeye Avenue. Then, he made a right turn onto southbound Geer Road. Meanwhile, 31-year-old David Sloan of Turlock drove south on Geer Road in a 2017 GMC pickup.
 
Olsen said that both drivers claimed that they had the green light. However, the officers later confirmed that the police officer had the green light. Thus, they determined that David Sloan was at fault.
 
Olsen added that both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles. Also, they complained of pain and responders transported them to a local hospital for evaluation.
 
At this time, the identity of the 28-year-old police officer hasn’t been disclosed.
